A Simple Yin Yoga Practice

This Yin Yoga class offers a deeply nourishing and introspective practice that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, through long-held passive poses. It's a wonderful complement to more active styles of yoga and can be beneficial for both physical and mental well-being.

The heart of a Yin Yoga practice lies in its signature long-held poses, which are typically held for anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes or even longer. These poses, often seated or reclined, are designed to gently stretch and target specific areas of the body, such as the hips, spine, and shoulders.

Once you settle into a pose, the focus shifts to finding stillness both in the body and the mind. Throughout the practice, attention to the breath is emphasized as a tool for cultivating mindfulness and deepening the release in each pose. You'll be encouraged to breathe deeply and steadily, using the breath to soften tension and facilitate a sense of surrender.

Total class time is around 45 minutes
