This twelve-week class meets two times a week for one hour and focuses on step-by-step teaching of tai ji quan forms and movements to participants. The emphasis is on providing participants an enhanced experience using the 8-tai ji quan forms, Mini-therapeutic Movements® and variations to develop strength, flexibility, balance and postural control.
Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® is an evidence-based fall prevention program developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute.

Control your center of gravity to prevent falls
Maintain functional capabilities that will help you remain independent
Make rewarding social connections
This class is for those wishing to learn Tai Ji Quan movements. It is particularly suited for people who:
Want to improve strength and mobility
Have had a history of falls or are concerned about falls
Have an abnormal gait or difficulty walking
Have Parkinson's Disease

Please select the beginner class if you have not previously taken the 1st 12 weeks of Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance.
Classes meet 2x a week for 12 weeks.
Class Cost $168 for the whole 12 weeks - can be paid here or via cash, check or Venmo. Please connect with Jessica for payment details. Please note that you must officially sign up through the Juniper website to be enrolled in the class even if you submit your payment here.
For those who have MSHO (MN Senior Health Options) for insurance, no payment will be accepted, as it is a covered insurance benefit for those on this program.
