Hi there!

I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather and longer days. Last weekend I went to visit my college roommate in Colorado for a long weekend and went to see Michael Franti & Spearhead at Red Rocks. So much fun to get away and visit dear friends!

I wanted to do a few updates and reminders this week instead of a usual newsletter. Here we go...

There will be no Yoga for Women until after Labor Day. I love this class and I decided to take the summer off teaching Sundays, knowing lots of people are busy on the weekends. I'll definitely be bringing it back in the fall.

Wednesday Evening Yoga

The Wednesday evening classes will continue through summer. This is a gentle & restorative class that is great for all levels of practice and is a relaxing way to wind down the day.

Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance

This twelve-week class meets two times a week for one hour and builds on the knowledge and experience participants have gained from the beginner class. The emphasis is on providing participants an enhanced experience with additional challenges using the 8-tai ji quan forms, Mini-therapeutic Movements® and variations to further develop strength, flexibility, balance and postural control.  

Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® is an evidence-based fall prevention program developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute.

Benefits of the class

  • Build strength and increase postural control and range of motion.
  • Increase awareness of body positioning.
  • Control your center of gravity to prevent falls.
  • Maintain functional capabilities that will help you remain independent.
  • Make rewarding social connections.

Who should take the class?

It is particularly suited for people who:

  • Want to improve strength and mobility.
  • Have had a history of falls or are concerned about falls.
  • Have an abnormal gait or difficulty walking.
  • Have Parkinson's Disease

Women's Retreat & Winter Getaway

Thirsty Pagan Summer Solstice Celebration & Market

Find me at this event on June 24th - all day! I will have all my merch there including books (you can get a signed copy), yoga mat bags, jewelry, note cards, tanks and more! I will also be teaching a free gentle yoga class there at 1pm. It will be a great event, so be sure to stop by and see me.
