This twelve-week class meets two times a week for one hour and focuses on step-by-step teaching of tai ji quan forms and movements to participants. The emphasis is on providing participants an enhanced experience using the 8-tai ji quan forms, Mini-therapeutic Movements® and variations to develop strength, flexibility, balance and postural control.
Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® is an evidence-based fall prevention program developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute.

This class is for those wishing to learn Tai Ji Quan movements. It is particularly suited for people who:
- Want to improve strength and mobility
- Have had a history of falls or are concerned about falls
- Have an abnormal gait or difficulty walking
- Have Parkinson's Disease

- Please select the beginner class if you have not previously taken the 1st 12 weeks of Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance.
- Classes meet 2x a week for 12 weeks.
- Classes are donation based. Suggested donation is $5/class per person, but participants can pay what they are able.
- For those who have MSHO (MN Senior Health Options) for insurance, no payment will be accepted, as it is a covered insurance benefit for those on this program.
